Eastridge’s Carol Albert Offers Employment Insight to Veterans

SAN DIEGO, February 24, 2011—Eastridge manager Carol Albert gave a talk on February 8th entitled “A Behind the Scenes Look into the Job Search Process.”
Her audience for the talk in Carlsbad, CA was no ordinary group of jobseekers. Rather, she spoke to 60 veterans hoping to enter the civilian workforce.
For more than fifteen years, Albert has volunteered to help veterans find employment opportunities. Albert currently serves as the Director of Operations for San Diego General Services at The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies. She also serves as Director of Operations for Light Industrial Services at Abbott Staffing Group, a division of Eastridge based in Newport Beach, CA.
Jareld Wall of Cal Vet Corps “Operation Welcome Home” thanked Albert for her involvement with veterans and her talk.
Albert’s presentation was “An exceptional performance, to say the very least.” Addressing Albert, he continued, “You are a perfect reflection of the keywords ‘Professional, Genuine, Entertaining, Informative, Knowledgeable, and Insightful.’"
An employment expert, Albert says that veterans have been appreciative and open to her thoughts. She notes the challenge of entering the civilian labor market amidst the tough economy. Albert has long been involved in helping veterans enter the civilian workforce as a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) instructor at the Naval Air Base in Maine prior to moving to San Diego.
Wall graciously thanked Carol for her time and energies for veterans.
“Thank you once again for making such a significant difference in the lives of those whom you touched,” Wall said.
In addition to Albert’s efforts, The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies has been a strong supporter of veterans in the community. As its holiday gift, Eastridge made a financial contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides assistance to wounded military service members, encouraging them on the road to physical and mental healing.
