The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies Expands Bay Area Presence

SAN FRANCISCO, November 2, 2010 – One of the country’s leading staffing firms has launched an effort to strengthen its business in Northern California with the transfer of a key executive.
Adam Svet has relocated today to the Bay Area for The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies. Svet is a Principal of the company and has moved to its San Francisco office from the firm’s headquarters in San Diego.
“For two decades, our organization has built a reputation for outstanding service in the Bay Area,” said Svet. “We provide key support and personnel to companies at the heart of a region known for innovation.”
Svet will be tasked with expanding the firm’s presence, especially through the growth of its Secure Talent and Essential Discovery brands.
Secure Talent provides clients with independent contractor risk mitigation and payroll services. Companies in the Bay Area and beyond have turned to Secure Talent to categorize workers as employees or independent contractors, a decision with important labor law and tax implications.
Essential Discovery focuses on document review staffing, reducing the costs and burden of large-scale document review. Svet hopes to expand Essential Discovery’s business in the Bay Area, while continuing growth in other legal markets.
Svet has served as Eastridge’s Director of Strategic Planning and Chief Administrative Officer. In these roles, he managed transaction and litigation matters for the privately-held staffing firm. He dealt extensively with risk mitigation issues, including those relating to 1099 independent contractor compliance. Svet also oversaw senior level recruitment, fostered business development, and directed the integration of three major corporate acquisitions.
In addition to his work at Eastridge, Svet has extensive community involvement. He is a member of the CEO Roundtable at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and is active with San Diego State University’s Entrepreneurial Management Center. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Scripps Research Institute, a nationally-recognized medical research center. Svet has been an invited speaker at numerous forums, with an expertise in intergenerational family business and philanthropy.
A California native, Svet holds a B.A. from the University of San Diego and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.
