SAN DIEGO, December 23, 2011 — The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies has announced the Wounded Warrior Project and the Forget Me Not Foundation as recipients of its annual holiday donations. The contributions to these non-profit organizations will support efforts to provide for veterans, hospital patients and the elderly this holiday season.
The donations highlight Eastridge’s ongoing commitment to serving the community.
Additionally, Eastridge joined forces with the Forget Me Not Foundation for the Ronald McDonald House “Holiday Gifts from the Heart” campaign. The Forget Me Not Foundation donated two professionally decorated Christmas trees and approximately thirty large floral arrangements to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Eastridge employees and clients contributed gifts to surround the trees, providing presents to those families who will spend the holidays at the Ronald McDonald House. According to Sandy Carillo, COO of the San Diego Ronald McDonald House, the house will be at full capacity over the holidays.
Eastridge is the founding partner of the Forget Me Not Foundation, which provides residents and patients of nursing homes, hospitals, and other medical facilities with donated, freshly cut flowers and professionally created arrangements. The flowers provide residents and patients with therapeutic activities, as they are able to create their own unique bouquets. Activity Coordinators appreciate how the floral activities enhance participants’ quality of life. Participants often demonstrate enhanced mental acuity, manual dexterity, improvement in their decision-making skills, and a sense of community.
”On behalf of the entire Eastridge organization and our clients, we are thrilled to be a part of such remarkable charities this holiday season,” said Nanci Porter, President of Eastridge InfoTech, a specialty division of Eastridge. “We are guided each day by our core values, which extends to giving back to those in the community around us.”
The Wounded Warrior Project, founded in 2003, honors and empowers injured veterans. The organization raises awareness for the needs of injured service members and provides direct programs and resources to help veterans and their families.
For almost 40 years, Eastridge has provided people with opportunities and enrichment through work. The company is honored to support organizations that have significantly impacted the lives of those in our community.
